☆APPEARANCE☆

Nessa is a young 5'6” woman with fair skin, blue eyes, and long teal hair reaching to her waist. She is rarely seen without hair clips, namely heart-shaped ones she received from her mother as a gift when she was young. The outfit she is most seen in is a long-sleeved shirt that is mainly black and white with a white skirt, but highlighted with various green, pink, and blue neon stripes. Her shirt is held up by black straps. Around her neck, she wears a pale blue bandanna given to her by her sister while they still lived in Hargeon Town. Her boots are black with the same neon motif, but do not light up (as much as she would like them to). Her guild mark, the same color as her hair, is located on the back of her right hand, in homage to the person who invited her to join guild she admired to begin with: Lucy Heartfilia.

☆PERSONALITY☆

Nessa tends to be a very gung-ho sort of girl, ready to jump at the chance to explore or take her friends on missions. Because of this, people say she's a real go-getter, but extremely too reckless. When it comes to missions, Nessa has an “attack first, plan later” mentality, which usually ends with her getting more hurt than she would be if she had taken the time to think. Though if there's one thing the members of Fairy Tail can agree on, it's that the girl is extremely passionate. She cares a lot about her friends, and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, even if she does pick of them from time to time. At times, Nessa can be a bit arrogant, thinking she can take anyone on only to be shown up more times than none. Though, she did learn at one point to never to challenge Erza, but it was a shame she had to learn it the hard way. Either way, she enjoys testing herself and her skills in order to better herself, so one day she can be strong enough to protect those she holds close.

☆HISTORY☆

Nessa and her older twin sister Sorcha were born in Hargeon Town. Their father Astor, an older member of Lamia Scale, taught them magic growing up while their mother, a mild-mannered non-wizard named Moira born and raised in the port town did her best to support her children regardless of not being completely used to magic being thrown around the house. Nonetheless, she loved her children all the same. Due to the small population of the town that were actually magic users, the girls spent a lot of their time either at home or with each other. Nessa was attached to her sister at the hip. She was like her savior at the time, always guiding her and taking the role as the responsible sibling. Their parents began to notice over time that the two tended to keep to themselves and never really socialize with other children of the town. Because of this, their parents decided it was best to move their family to a place where their kids could grow up feeling like “a part of the community”. So, when the two turned 7, the family was moved to the magic capital of Fiore-- Magnolia. Astor and Moira could not have been happier, because thanks to this change, their children began to open up more and more as the years past. It also didn't hurt that Astor was able to freely visit his old guild mates after such a long time.

Years past, and the twins grew older, setting their personalities even more now that they've had the time to expand their horizons in their new home. Nessa became a lot more assertive thanks to her new setting, though this led to her getting in to more fights and causing more trouble than her family had counted on. During one of her excursions (read: brawl with a few thugs who tried to steal her wallet), she ran into Lucy (quite literally. She was running pretty fast in hopes of not getting caught by some sort of goons and ran straight into the Celestial Wizard). She apologized profusely about what the girl probably just saw, and after dragging her away to a point she was sure they weren't being chased, the two stopped to talk for a bit. Nessa wasn't exactly in a big hurry to get home knowing she'd probably just get chewed out by her dad, so she decided to pass the time by getting to know the blonde female. That was when she found out that her new acquaintance was actually a member of the guild she had heard so much about from her father and from various citizens around Magnolia: the (in)famous wizarding guild, Fairy Tail. Nessa had always admired wizarding guilds thanks to her father's stories about his days in Lamia Scale. The girls ended up talking for a long time about magic and various other things, which lead to Nessa learning that Lucy also used the same magic as her sister. Thanks to this meeting, which to this day Nessa refers to as fate, Lucy had an idea after getting to know the girl and getting a glimpse of her potential. She invited the teal-haired girl to join the guild she admired so much. In the end, she couldn't have been happier.

☆MAGIC AND ABILITIES☆

Lightning Magic (雷系各種魔法 Kaminari Kei Kakushu Mahou) Lightning Magic- Lightning Spear (ライトニング・スピーヤ): Nessa's main means of offense. She summons a magic circle to shoot spears of lightning at her opponents. If she's lucky, she can use them to stun her opponent to give her teammates time for a counterattack.
Lightning Magic- Thunder Dome (サンダー・ドーム): Nessa's main means of defense; She focuses her magic to create a large dome around herself and her teammates. Her time is limited however; the longer she keeps the dome up, the more her magic is drained, rendering her defenseless for a good time until she can recover.
Lightning Magic- Lightning Cage (ライトニング・ケイジ): This technique works along the same lines as Thunder Dome, but is used as means of trapping opponents in a cage made of pure Lightning magic. But again, this technique tends to drain her magic bit by bit. It is noticed that whenever Nessa uses Lightning Cage, it is more a means of giving her teammates a chance to escape so when they are out of range, she can at least try her best to hold off the enemy for as long as she can.
Lightning Magic- Bolt Strike (ボルト・ストライク): This is considered Nessa's strongest attack. She takes her time to focus her magic, and is then able to summon magic circles into the air in above her enemies. Once they are all trapped in the field, she uses the circles to strike her opponents with a large amount of electricity. She can only use this technique once per battle though, because once it's performed, her magic power is incredibly drained and she is rendered useless until she can recover, which can take a considerable amount of time.
Lightning Magic- Flash Bang (フラシ・バング): This technique is more for stunning opponents than actually causing damage. With the snap of her fingers, she produces small balls of extremely bright light, blinding her enemies for a short amount of time, giving her teammates more leeway to land attacks. Nessa also has a tendency to use this technique to play tricks on guild members.
Telekinesis – Nessa uses this mainly when she's too lazy to reach things, but can put it to use to distract enemies by throwing things in a different direction in hopes to keep their hiding spots undiscovered.

Nessa has an obsession with sour candy and will drop anything she's doing to buy some.
When she first joined Fairy Tail, she immediately became interested in Erza. In fact, she had a bit of a crush on the Requip mage for the longest time, and while she says she's over it now, some of the guild members aren't so sure.
Nessa tends to get frustrated very easily over trivial matters.
Although she keeps quiet about it, everyone (minus the boy in question) is sure she might have developed a crush on Natsu after a while. Her sister actually tends to take this fact and tease her about it.
